What you'll learn
Day 1
#1 The Agenic Coder. A fresh look at AI First Coding
Agentic Coding is a relief for software engineers. We will talk about how useful and enjoyable it can be to use agentic coding.
#2 Software & Tools Overview (Cursor, Codex, Claude, OpenAI, ChatGPT)
I will show you the differences between existing coding agents so you can decide when to use CLI, IDE, or a code editor, and in which situations each is best.
#3 Agentic Coding in Practice
We'll start with a fresh project right away. I will guide you through the project setup, agent rules, document ingestion, slash commands, Git setup, and logging.
Short break
#4 LLMs & Models
We'll discuss which LLM to use and when. We'll cover context windows, how to keep up with weekly model updates, and how to decide when to use Claude, GPT, Grok, or other models.
#5 Prompt engineering
Learn how to prompt effectively and use English as your daily driver with the AI coding agent. You'll see how to structure and format prompts to get the most out of them.
#6 Context Engineering
Especially in larger codebases, you need to maintain context for your coding agent. We'll cover how to avoid context rot, and how to use available tools to stay productive and reduce hallucinations.
